My experience as a Literary Translator brought me the wonderful opportunity to translate the Home Page and Shop Brochure for "Kagure", a distinguished shop specializing in Japanese Craftwork and traditionally inspired clothes. The text in the Home Page describes methods used in ancient times and other related topics such as the inheritance of crafts work in Japan.

Furukuri Kinoshita, a young and keen Japanese Writer describes a youngster who is stressed out under the situation of a natural disaster. The story takes a different spin when the narrator passes the verge into a grand delusion.
I'd like to say my main influences here are the grateful Mr. James Brown and Allen Ginsberg. If there ever were purposes to put rhythm, soliloquy and satire under one rolling paper of a manuscript, I'd use some styles I most admire.

PURPOSE / 主旨
Waseda Bungaku, a literary magazine known for its long standing history of introducing contemporary Japanese Writers, has assembled a collection of short stories on the topic relating on the earth quake that hit Northern Japan last year.
In this short story novel , Mr. Furukawa depicts scenes relating to a dream like reality with a sense of an urban landscape in the danger of a natural disaster.
As the translator of this novel, my feelings towards the soliloquy of the main character are experimental in the Japanese language, yet fit the theatrical forms in the English literature.
